I took brown packing paper to cut the form of a tree and branches. Then I traced my daughter's hand on green construction paper. As I cut oodles of hands she colored the already cut ones. We then pasted the hand-leaves to the tree.
Next we took a walk around the block to gather with a little bowl and picked flowers, green leaves and ... well lots of rocks since that's what she likes the most. We were going to glue the spring items to the tree, but when we got home she promptly dumped everything into a bucket of rain water.
Finishing the tree will come another day.
